Anton Gunawan is currently Chief Economist of PT. Bank Mandiri (Persero), Tbk. and Executive Director of Mandiri Institute.
He has also worked for 6 (six) years at PT. Bank Danamon Indonesia, Tbk. as Chief Economist (2008-2014), and spent almost 8 years with Citigroup as Country Economist for Indonesia (2000-2008).
He had also spent more than 20 years with the Faculty of Economics University of Indonesia (FEUI). His last position in the FEUI was as Research Director at the Institute for Economic and Social Research (LPEM FEUI) in 1998-2000, while teaching (as a lecturer) at the undergraduate and graduate programs at FEUI.
Anton is currently the Chairman of Permanent Committee on Macroeconomy and Fiscal Policy in the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (2015-2020), and was a member of the Economic Advisors Team to the Chairman of Kadin Indonesia, 2007–08. He is also currently a member of the Fiscal Policy Focus Group, and was previously served as a member of the Banking & Capital Markets Focus Group (2006 – 2009), and of the Industry, Trade & Invesment Focus Group (2012 – 2015) in the Indonesian Economists Association (ISEI).
Anton wrote a book on Indonesia inflation and government budget (1991) and was a co-editor of a BI-IMF conference report on Inflation Targeting Framework (2002). He was nominated as one of the candidates to become Senior Deputy Governor of Bank Indonesia (Aug/Sep ‘13) by the President of the Republic of Indonesia, but not selected by the Parliament (DPR). In early 2014 Anton was named as the Best Economic Forecaster in the World for Indonesian economy by the Bloomberg Markets Magazine for the period of 2012-13.
Anton got his MPhil (Master of Philosophy) degree in Economics from Columbia University, an AM (Master of Arts) degree in Economics from the University of Chicago, and a SE (Sarjana Ekonomi) degree in Economics and Development Studies from the University of Indonesia, Jakarta. His major fields of studies are Macroeconomics, Monetary and Financial Economics, International Economics, Public Finance, and Development Economics.
Andry Asmoro is currently work as Department Head of Macroeconomic and Financial Market Research also known as Senior Economist in PT. Bank Mandiri (Persero) Tbk. since 2011. Andry has 19 years of experience in economic. His previous position is Senior Economist in PT. Bank CIMB Niaga Tbk. (2010-2011), Economist in PT. Bahana Securities (2008-2010), Senior Research Associate in LPEM FE UI (2000-2008).
Andry holds Master degree in economic from Georgia State University, Atlanta, USA.
Dendi Ramdani is currently a Vice President for Industry and Regional Research at P.T. Bank Mandiri Tbk. since August 2015. Before joining Bank Mandiri, he was a lecturer at Faculty of Economics and Business, University of Indonesia and Antwerp Business School, University of Antwerp, Belgium. He has expertise in industry analysis and firm behaviour. He served as a member of the Oil and Gas Reform Task Force, Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (Tim Reformasi Minyak dan Gas, Kementrian Energi dan Sumber Daya Mineral) from November 2014-May 2015, just after came back in Indonesia. Prior to that, he did a postdoctoral research funded from Belspo (Belgian Science and Policy) in Belgium from 2011-2014.
He hold a PhD in Applied Economics from University of Antwerp, Belgium in 2013, Master Degree in Economics and Econometrics from University of Groningen, the Netherlands in 2007, Master Degree in International Economics from University of Indonesia in 2005, and Bachelor Degree in Economics and Development Studies from University of Indonesia in 1999.
He has published many articles in international journals such as, British Journal of Management, Journal Business Ethics, International Research Journal of Business Studies, and Sustainability. He also regularly attented and presented his papers in Annual Meeting of Academy of Management in the US and Annual Conference of European Academy of Management in Europe. In Indonesia, he regularly publishes his short articles in nasional newspapers such as, Kontan and Jakarta Post. Dr. Moekti P. Soejachmoen is the Head of Mandiri Institute, an independent research institute established by Bank Mandiri, the largest bank in Indonesia. She is an economist with over 20 year experiences in finance, international trade, micro and macroeconomics and development economics at academia as well as development level. She holds Ph.D. in Economics from the Australian National University, master’s degree in Economics from University of California and a bachelor’s degree in Economics from University of Indonesia. She has published multiple articles on the subjects, such as finance, trade policy, industry globalization, ASEAN free trade agreements, Indonesian manufacturing and export competitiveness.
